Energy & Carbon Management

We work with your organisation to deliver scientifically sound and high quality energy and carbon management services whilst delivering value across many areas. We advise best practise and implement practical solutions, review policy and assist net zero strategies, and we work with all of your stakeholders along the way.

We support you in following areas: Supporting Compliance including Energy Saving Opportunities Scheme (ESOS), Streamlined Energy (SECR) and Carbon Reporting, EU ETS, Mandatory GHG Emissions Reporting, Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), SBRI, PPN06/21.

The deadline for Phase 3 of the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is 5th June 2024!

Innovation & Funding Support

We work with you to identify funding opportunities and assist you with the application process. We are happy to manage the process for you both during application and actual project duration.

We worked with innovation agencies to support competitions in R&D particularly in decarbonisation related themes. Our work included assessing funding applications and due diligence, reviewing and monitoring progress of the overall programme or individual projects. Our clients include Innovate UK (UKRI), the West of England Combined Authority (WECA), the European Innovation Council funded by the European Commission, Innovation Fund Denmark, European Institution of Technology and Innovation (EIT).

We therefore have unique insights and significant experience in funding ecosystem and support start-ups and SMEs accessing funds and throughout the management of the funded project. The scope of our work varied from clean energy and decarbonisation to environmental sustainability, resources efficiency, circularity and sustainable materials, electric vehicles. Recently we have been involved in Net Zero Hydrogen Fund evaluation (DESNZ/ Innovate UK) and also acting as technical advisors on Local Industrial Decarbonisation Plans (ISCF – Innovate UK).

Circular Economy & Life Cycle Carbon Assessments

The circular economy is a concept and a solution for industry and business to reduce and reuse waste. The circular economy aims to turn waste into a resource or a product by reintroducing them into the production cycle instead of simply disposing at the end of their useful life.

In collaboration with you, we can identify the processes and opportunities to reduce and repurpose waste in a practical and cost-effective way that can delivery read cost and emission savings.

A Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is used to assess the environmental impacts of a product or service – from raw material extraction, manufacture and use to end-of-life disposal, recycling or reuse. It enables organisations to design better products, processes and identify ways to reduce impacts on the environment. There are different methods and approaches as well as the standards such as ISO 14000 series, GHG Emissions Protocol, PAS 2050 and recently for carbon neutrality PAS 2060. Whichever route is appropriate for you, we are here to assist carrying out an LCA for your business, products and operations.
